In Ted Nelson’s book Computer Lib / Dream Machines, 'cybercrud' refers to the act of 'putting things over on people using computers'—a critique that feels just as relevant, if not more so, today as it did in the 1970s. In Little Ghost, two clear computer fans generate wind that pushes a transparent wave back and forth, visible only through its shadow. This moment embodies the shift of computational technology from a tool of empowerment to one of mystification and manipulation.
